February 2011

Just wanted to give you an update on Magical Gem. He continues to be a wonderful horse (of course). We did our first hunter pace of the year and he was good as gold. He has such an awesome temperment. My six year old daughter rides him at home in the ring. I have an obstacle course in my ring with jumps and a narrow bridge. The narrow bridge is always one heck of challenge for everyone. My six year old daughter decided she wanted to ride Gem over the bridge. She asked him to walk over it I gave her the "don't worry honey no one wants to go over the bridge She steered him up to it and he marched over it like a trooper. We were all just stupified. What a cool horse!
Top pic from left to right, Sue (one of my friends), Me on Gem, Hunter (our oldest daughter on Miss Informed) and Taylor (our middle daughter) on Kharma at the hunter pace at Fence.
Also, found these online. Gem is the one in front! Thought you might like them! - Liz

December 2010

Just wanted to give you an update on Tommy - we did the Eric Smiley clinic and Eric thought he was a fabulous prospect. Ollie is confidently tackling a BN course - he is great in the water and good over ditches. His dressage is still a work in progress - getting him to relax more over his topline in the trot has been are biggest focus. He has a fabulous canter. He has been a great amateur horse - so sensible! I am really looking forward to our show career in 2011!
Love my new boy! -Bonnie

Just wanted to shoot you a quick update on Frenchtown (Cajun Bay). He's recently relocated with me to southwestern Florida and after a week of the 90+ degree heat has adjusted nicely He's such a great horse, the love of the barn and such a gentleman to handle.
Hope your business is going well. Happy Thanksgiving! -Christie Gable Keeling

June 2010
Thought your would like an update... LZ (Lady Zipster) is coming along wonderfully. My little chestnut TB sold, so we went and bought the Princess LZ a used big, bright, and airy Hawk GN Trailer. Which she is hauling like a pro in alone, finally.
She was a last minute replacment for another horse who I ride for the owner at the intro level at Plantation Fields event the other week, was a tad nervous in dressage ring but pulled off a 30! Clean xc and stadium to finish 3rd.
I took her to my trainers (Jane Sleeper) for the past weekend. Jane LOVES her and says she is deff. THE horse. Worked on just getting her more straight on Sat. Sun we went to Fair Hill xc schooling... amazing just amazing. This was only her second time schooling xc. The first time we just did some very straight forward coops and such. This time many different (BN to some easier P/T) ditches, banks, drops, and water, with some novice to smaller training level jumps. The prelim size drop was a bit of a looker for her the first time. LZ threatened to rear for a bit. But stepped off like a gem when our leader went off it beside her. The second time she looked really quick and just stepped right off it.
I am still undecided if she is going to actually event this summer. The ground is so hard right now. Most likely I am going to take her to Waredaca in Aug. Maybe entering the MD HT II (need to make my mind up today though as entries close).
Thank you for giving me the chance to come and buy her. LZ is living up the good life right now at becoming an eventer. She loves jumping, tries really hard to understand the dressage, and gets more carrots and peppermints from our son then any horse could ever dream of having.

October 2009

This is a young horse I acquired in the summer of 08 in this picture he is 4yrs of age and foxhunting on thanksgiving day which is probably our biggest hunt of the season with over 130 people on horseback and close to 50 hounds it was a huge test. One I'm glad to say he passed with flying colors!!!! Good Value or Baby as he is known (for obvious reasons) is now in his second season hunting with one of the premier hunt clubs on the east coast and acting like its his fourteenth!!!!!! He is in my top choices for our big days and I feel very lucky to of come across him. I'm sure we will enjoy each other and the sport for many years to come. September 2009

Proud Silver: Show name Holly Go Lightly The first week of the Kentucky Summer Horse show (AA) Holly won 2 out of the 3 five year old Young jumper classes. course She had 4 faults and was 6th..but the 4 faults was my circle...she was clean and fast! The second week (The Kentucky Summer Classic AA) she earned a 4th and two 3 rds. This only being her 3rd horse show all year! Holly was never worse than 4th through out two weeks of tough competition (Margie Engle, Aaron Vale, and Joe Fargis all had entries!) at the 3'9 level! I am so thrilled with her, and I look forward to providing an upset at the young jumper Mid-western finals in two weeks!
